Negative consequences of quitting cigarettes

Cardiologist Anna Korenevich said during a live broadcast on YouTube that stress against the background of quitting cigarettes can lead to problems with blood pressure and pulse.

One of the viewers talked about the unexpected consequences of getting rid of this bad habit and asked the specialist to explain what is connected with this bad habit.

“You gave up cigarettes, but you have no other alternative. And so the pressure and the pulse started to play naughty, because you develop adrenaline, but there is nothing to quench it,” Korenovic explained.

She advised the man to start fighting anxiety through physical activity.

The specialist noted the need to quit smoking suddenly – the best way, and added that within a year the risk of heart attack and stroke would drop significantly.
