The Abu Dhabi Peace Forum participates in the International Publishing and Book Fair in Rabat
Rabat, 10 May / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Peace Forum participates in the 29th session of the International Publishing and Book Fair in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, which began yesterday and continues until 19 May of this year and was opened by His Excellency Aziz Akhannouch, Prime Minister of Morocco, in the presence of His Excellency Mohamed Mehdi Bensaïd, Moroccan Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication.
His Excellency Mohammed Mahdi Bensaid visited the corridor of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum, and was received by His Excellency Sheikh Mahfouz bin Bayyah, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum, Amna Saeed Al Shehhi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum Office in Rabat, and the office’s team of researchers. During the visit, His Excellency was briefed on the Forum’s publications. .
His Excellency received from the Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum a commemorative shield and a number of books, including the book The Perpetual Search for Peace, published in English, and a copy of the Marrakesh Declaration on the Rights of Religious Minorities in the Islamic Year, which was issued in Marrakesh in 2016 under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
His Excellency the Moroccan Minister of Culture stressed the Kingdom of Morocco’s keenness to receive knowledge pioneers and peacemakers from all over the world, noting the Forum’s participation in the exhibition.
For his part, His Excellency Al-Mahfouz bin Bayyah stressed the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum’s keenness to permanently participate in this major international event, as it is one of the most important spaces of knowledge, thought and culture in the Arab world.
He explained that this participation comes within the framework of the “Paths of Peace, Beginning with Abu Dhabi” strategy that the Forum launched since its establishment to furnish the Arab intellectual arena with concepts of peace, issues of tolerance and happy coexistence, which reflect the vision and civilizational narrative of the UAE under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State. “God save him”.
The Forum participates in the activities of the International Publishing and Book Fair, with a number of publications and research in the field of peace, coexistence and tolerance, and its gallery hosts a rich scientific program that hosts a distinguished elite of academics and experts to raise the most important issues that contribute to formulating a new vision for peace in the world.
