Mohamed Idriss Deby wins the presidential elections in Chad
N’Djamena, May 10 / WAM / The National Electoral Management Agency in Chad announced the victory of interim President Mohamed Idriss Deby in the presidential elections held on May 6, after obtaining 61% of the votes.
The agency explained that Déby received 61.3% of the votes, which far exceeds the 50% necessary to avoid a second round, while the Prime Minister and the main opposition candidate, Soxeh Masra, received 18.53% of the votes.
