Fires destroy 1,000 homes in Colorado

Fires continued to burn in the US state of Colorado, sending thousands of local residents out of their homes.
According to Reuters reports, citing Boulder County Sheriff Joe Bailey, 991 homes have fallen as a result of the fires.

A total of 991 homes were destroyed and 127 were damaged, Bailey said.
“According to our current estimates, and I suppose they are close to the final numbers, 553 homes were destroyed in Louisville, and another 45 were damaged. In the City of Superior, 60 were destroyed. Outside of these cities 106 homes were destroyed and 22 homes destroyed.

He indicated that three people were reported missing.

“The search continues, but most likely it has to do with the search for remains,” Bailey added.
