Dubai, May 13 / WAM / The organizing committee of the Arab Media Forum and the Arab Social Media Pioneers Summit, the major platform for honoring Arab innovators on social media, announced the opening of nominations for the “Arab Social Media Pioneers Award” in its fourth session, from May 14 to 21. The deadline for nominating applications on the digital platform designated for the award is currently underway, calling on those wishing to nominate or nominate whomever they deem appropriate, to take the initiative to submit their works via the electronic platform https://asmis2024.paperform.co/
The award, which will honor Arab creators on social media sites, comes within a special ceremony held on this occasion on May 29, within the agenda of the third day of the Arab Media Forum. The award launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of… Dubai, may God protect him, seeks to honor Arab creators on social media and celebrate their innovative works, in a way that enhances positive interaction and communication across these platforms, stimulates creative thinking to make the most of these channels, and raises awareness of issues of concern to Arab society.
Dr. Maitha bint Issa Buhumaid, Director of the Dubai Press Club, invited Arab creators on social media platforms, and to millions of followers around the world, to nominate possible content creators who had a distinct impact and presence at the regional level.
Buhumaid said: “The award reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which aims to establish a new approach that employs the capabilities of creative youth on social media, in a way that serves the peoples of the region, and enhances the role of digital platforms to make optimal use of them in every sector.”
She added that the award, in its fourth session, will honor Arab creators in 9 categories, including various social media platforms, as it will honor influencers who have distinguished themselves in harnessing modern technologies to develop Arabic content and raise the value of social platforms in the Arab region.
The Director of the Dubai Press Club explained that there is a great desire from the work team to honor creators in various fields of social media, at the individual level, as the award categories cover the following sectors: entertainment, culture and arts, entrepreneurship, community service, sports, tourism, the public category, and health. And the Influential Personality of the Year category. She stressed that the award seeks to develop a positive environment that honors creativity and creators on these vital platforms, based on three criteria: the ability to communicate positively, develop creative content, and achieve a tangible impact.
The award focuses on communication, creativity, and influence and honors creativity in creating channels of communication between different communities, those who have a tangible impact on the development of their communities, and those who contribute to achieving progress and prosperity.
