Germany imposes multi-million dollar fine on Telegram

German Justice Minister Marco Buschmann said that the Telegram app violates German law, for which he faces fines of millions of dollars.

According to him, the app had to designate a contact person in Germany and create an easily identifiable way to report illegal content.

“Since violating these obligations, we have initiated several actions to impose a fine,” he said.
