Kitefoil: Lauriane Nolot retains her title of world champion just over two months before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
The Marseillaise rang out in Hyères. The Frenchwoman Lauriane Nolot, 25, won, for the second time, the kitefoil world championships – a new Olympic discipline – on his spot, Sunday May 19. She is one of the great chances of an Olympic medal for the Paris 2024 Games. She finishes ahead the British Eleanor Aldridge and in front ofcompatriot, Jessie Kampman, third.
These world championships allow Nolot to further establish its supremacy over the discipline. Already world champion and titled on the test-event in 2023the Frenchwoman also won a European champion title last March in Spain.
“Being at home gave a real boost of confidence as well. It’s incredible to find myself once again with two other French women in the final, Jessie and Poema push me to the top every time”, she confided to the French Sailing Federation, before concluding: “This bodes well for the Games!“
