Training 380 women on entrepreneurship and financial education in Fayoum

The National Council for Women in Fayoum held 15 training courses today, Saturday, targeting 380 women in villages in the governorate, to train them on entrepreneurship and financial education with the aim of achieving economic empowerment for women in villages. 

 

This is within the framework of the Egyptian Family Development Project and in implementation of the “Decent Life” initiative. And as a continuation of the series of entrepreneurship training implemented by the National Council. 

 

Iman Ahmed Zaki, rapporteur of the National Council for Women in Fayoum, confirmed that the entrepreneurship training program aims to train women to manage their projects. It includes introducing women to the principles of planning, marketing, and the basic concepts of entrepreneurship such as innovation, evaluating opportunities, managing time and responsibilities, and setting priorities, in addition to explaining the business model, accounting rules, and the steps for registering and licensing any new project, as well as getting to know a number of entities that provide services for small and micro enterprises. Which women can benefit from its services.

 

Amani Al-Sharif added that the financial education training program also includes training women on setting financial goals, how to achieve a balance between needs and desires, and learning about Different saving methods and choosing the most appropriate ones, and how to prepare a monthly budget and rationalize its use.

 

The training explained how to use payment methods and money transfer products, how to deal with financial institutions, risk management and insurance services, And creating small projects among groups of women and providing them with ideas for environmentally friendly projects.

It is noteworthy that the National Council for Women aims, through its financial and digital education and entrepreneurship programs, to reach one million women within 3 years. 

 

The National Council for Women works within the framework of the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family on two main axes: the economic empowerment of women and cultural, awareness-raising and educational intervention.
