The Joint Evaluation Team announces the end of the weather situation in the country
Abu Dhabi, 3 May / WAM / The Joint Assessment Team for Meteorological and Tropical Situations announced the end of the weather situation in the country.
He pointed out that continuous monitoring and follow-up operations had been intensified during the previous days, in order to ensure that the necessary measures were taken to deal with the weather situation in a proactive, professional and flexible manner by the concerned authorities.
The team held a series of meetings headed by the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, with the participation of the Ministry of Interior, the National Center of Meteorology, and a group of relevant government agencies. The meetings focused on discussing all scenarios to develop preventive and precautionary measures after studying and evaluating the conditions in the areas facing the effects of the weather condition on… Country.
The National Center of Meteorology confirmed the end of the weather condition that the country witnessed, as the severity of the situation gradually eased from the end of the day on Thursday and receded in the north and east of the country. The Center works around the clock to provide effective and continuous weather forecasts and information, which contributes greatly to maintaining the safety of citizens and residents.
For its part, the Ministry of Interior confirmed that the central operating centers and rooms and field and specialized work teams were present and with a degree of proactive readiness to deal with the weather situation, and its teams worked in a preventive manner to ensure the safety of lives and property.
The committees and work teams were also in constant session during the weather condition, to ensure rapid response to all emergency situations and the sustainability of business continuity, and the teams will continue their tasks and field work to ensure the smooth flow of traffic on all roads affected by the weather condition.
The Ministry appreciated the role and efficiency of the concerned authorities, which contributed to enhancing stability and safety in society. It also praised the positive societal role that was translated by the public’s awareness and commitment to safety guidelines and procedures and the instructions of the competent authorities.
