The Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum discusses with a Moroccan minister ways to enhance the concepts of artificial intelligence ethics

Rabat, 1st May / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Mahfouz bin Bayyah, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum, Chairman of the “Religion and Civil Society Committee for Artificial Intelligence”, discussed with Her Excellency Dr. Ghita Mazour, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister of Morocco, in charge of digital transition and administrative reform, Ways of cooperation to enhance the concepts of artificial intelligence ethics.

During the meeting, which was held in Rabat, the importance of building bridges to deepen research on the actual and expected impacts of artificial intelligence on human societies was emphasized, given that the forum contributed to the establishment of the first committee for artificial intelligence and civil society, and the necessity of drawing inspiration from universal and human values ​​that ensure that scientific development is In this field, it promotes human dignity, the values ​​of peace and the meanings of a good life, and confronts the challenges that can accompany the rapid development of the technological world, especially with regard to the ethical and legal aspects, in the context of a positive investment in modern technologies.

It is worth noting that the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum is the first Islamic organization to join the “Rome Call for Ethics in Artificial Intelligence,” which was signed in the Italian capital, in January 2023, in an alliance that included the three religions of the Abrahamic family. It is a declaration that embodies a joint dialogue between all signatories, and the call To promote technological development with moral motives and legal commitment, in accordance with the universal human values ​​endorsed by all religious and humanitarian authorities.
