Ministry of Labor: New registration and inventory of irregular workers in New Valley

The Ministry of Labor announced new inventory operations for irregular workers in the New Valley Governorate, carried out by the Kharga Labor and Occupational Safety and Health Office in cooperation with the Irregular Workers Unit of the Directorate. The problem is to inventory and register this category in major national projects, especially decent life projects and in the villages most in need.

 

The Ministry explained – in a statement today, Wednesday – that these operations come within the framework of implementing the directives of the Minister of Labor, Hassan Shehata, to the directorates in the governorates, to intensify inspection and follow-up on the projects being implemented. In the governorates, registering the irregular workers who work in them through labor inspection, occupational safety and health agencies, and including them under the umbrella of care and protection provided by the Ministry.

 

For his part, the Director of the New Valley Labor Directorate confirmed Ahmed Hussein Tlaib – in a report to the Ministry – that its affiliated offices counted irregular workers in (New Valley University, the mechanized government services complex, the process of constructing rural homes in the Balat Center in Dakhla, and other facilities), in preparation for registering them in the Labor Directorate’s database and including them in health and social care. Which the directorate provides to those registered in its database.

 

Tlaib pointed out that inventory and registration operations for this category will continue in all national projects within the governorate to protect them from risks and provide them with a decent life.
