Egyptian students achieve 12 awards in the international science and engineering competition

Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, extended his sincere congratulations and appreciation to the winning Egyptian student team during its participation in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), which was held in Los Angeles, California, during the period from (11 – May 17, 2024).

The participating students achieved wonderful results, as they won 12 international awards, including 6 special awards presented by major international institutions in the field of science and engineering, and 6 centers around the world, where they achieved second and third places in The field of behavioral sciences and third place in the fields of biochemistry, programming, chemistry, and the field of medicine.

Dr. Reda Hegazy stressed that qualifying students to compete locally and globally in light of rapid technological developments is what we are reaping the benefits of today by celebrating our students who have achieved advanced and honorable positions. In this important competition, it also reflects the Ministry’s keenness to bring about comprehensive development in the education system, improve the level of educational services provided, and raise the level of its graduates in line with international standards, stressing that preparing students to excel is the best investment in human capital, and it is also part of the goals of the vision. Egypt 2030.

The International Science and Engineering Fair is considered one of the largest international science competitions in the world for pre-university education students, and serves as an opportunity for more than 1,600 research students, male and female, in the middle and secondary stages, from the age of (14) to meet. ) – (18) years old, from various countries of the world, where they are nominated by their countries after winning local competitions in their countries, and the projects participating in the exhibition and competition from all countries of the world are judged by a committee of professors and experts in the United States of America, as the official announcement was made of The winning projects from all countries of the world were selected by the judging committees at the end of the competition.

The student Muhammad Ahmed Saqr from the School of Excellence in Science and Technology in Obour won second place in behavioral and social sciences (BEHA), and the student Sahar Ashraf from City School in Sohag won third place in Behavioral and Social Sciences (BEHA), and the two students Muhammad Maher and Muhammad Hamdan from the School for Excellence in Science and Technology in Obour won third place in Software (SOFT), and the two students Muhammad Walid and Anas Al-Makawi from the School for Excellence in Science and Technology in Sharqia won third place in Biochemistry (BCHM). The student Jumana Ahmed Ragab from Manarat Al-Qahira Girls Secondary Language School won third place in chemistry, and the students Adham Mohamed and Mohamed Arif from the School of Excellence in Science and Technology in Kafr El-Sheikh won fourth place in Translational Medical Sciences (TEMD).

As for the special awards, the student Sahar Ashraf from City School in Sohag won first place for the special award from the American Psychological Association (APA), in addition to winning a scholarship to the University of Arizona, and the student Muhammad Ahmed Saqr from The School for Excellence in Science and Technology in Al-Obour won third place for the special award from the American Psychological Association (APA), and the students Muhammad Maher and Muhammad Hamdan from the School for Excellence in Science and Technology in Al-Obour won a scholarship to the University of Arizona, and the student Jumana Ahmed Ragab from Manarat Al-Qahira Secondary School for Girls won. for languages, with a full scholarship at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, and two students Ahmed Hanafi Hassan and Ahmed Qadri Hassan from the School of Excellence in Science and Technology in Kafr El-Sheikh won a full scholarship at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, bringing the total number of awards achieved to 12 prestigious awards in various fields, Which reflects the efforts made and the academic excellence of the students.
