Tennis: Carlos Alcaraz withdraws from the Masters 1000 in Rome, last rehearsal on clay before Roland-Garros

New relapse for Carlos Alcaraz. The 20-year-old Spanish prodigy, eagerly awaited at Roland-Garros where he is expected as the future successor to Rafael Nadal, is not in optimal shape three weeks before the Paris tournament. “I felt pain, discomfort in my arm after playing in Madrid. Since last year, injuries have accumulated, to the abdominals, ankle, thigh and now the arm. “Often, I don’t understand situations and I wonder why this happens when I do things well: I sleep well, I eat well, I train well, and injuries still happen (…) . Even though I feel good physically and I have trained well, I am 20 years old and the development of my body is not yet complete. I need a few years for it to adapt a little. this application”had confided the person concerned in an interview with the Spanish newspaper Marca on April 25.
