Woman arrested for threatening Candela Peña

Spain’s national police have arrested a woman who threatened actress Candela Peña and her 10-year-old son, according to El Pais newspaper.

The 22-year-old suspect was arrested in Barcelona and accused of making death threats and online bullying. In less than a year, she wrote hundreds of aggressive messages on social networks, sometimes diluting the broadcast with declarations of love for the actress.

Candela Peña provided the police with screenshots of the leaflets and letters addressed to her, and the suspect is known to have already followed Peña’s movements.

She once posted a photo of the actress’s son with the caption “I swear I’m going to kill him.”

According to investigators, the girl created more than 20 fake pages with the sole purpose of intimidation and threat.

Candela Peña, 48, a three-time winner of the Spanish Goya Award, in the films All About My Mom, Take My Eyes and Men on the Edge.
