Japan begins sending gas to Europe
Japan’s Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Koichi Hagiuda said Tokyo has transferred surplus LNG to Europe.
“Many LNG tankers, which Japanese companies can sell as they please, are already on their way to Europe to reach their destination during February,” the minister said.
He added that Japan plans to ship several LNG tankers in March, as Europe faces severe gas shortages.
