Arab officials: The UAE is an exemplary environment for creativity and innovation
ABU DHABI, 8th May / WAM / Arab officials confirmed, during their participation in the AIM Investment Summit 2024, held in Abu Dhabi, that the UAE, with its capabilities and the services it provides, is considered an ideal environment for creativity and innovation, in addition to being an attractive investment destination due to the investment opportunities it contains. As part of its activities today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), the AIM Summit hosted a discussion session for the Union of Arab Chambers entitled “The Vision of the Arab Region.”
Dr. Khaled Hanafi, Secretary General of the Union of Arab Chambers, said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that this discussion panel, which was moderated by the Union, focused on the future Arab vision, specifically the vision of the Arab private sector through the Union of Arab Chambers.
He added that the focus during the discussion session was on entrepreneurship and innovation, stressing that the Arab region needs to support entrepreneurship and innovation networks, pointing to the participants’ praise of the UAE as a model that has achieved very significant breakthroughs in the field of entrepreneurship and has become ranked No. 1 in this field.
He explained that during the panel discussion, light was highlighted on digitization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, how to rely on mechanisms and the Internet of Things, and how this relates to the transportation and logistics system, choosing pivotal ports in the Arab region, and developing agriculture to achieve Arab food security through the use of data related to agriculture based on modern technology.
Hilda Al Hinai, Secretary General of the Swiss Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Geneva, told “WAM” that she spoke during the panel discussion about her experience with a Swiss investor who recently established a company in Abu Dhabi, where he described Abu Dhabi as one of the best safe and ideal environments for creativity and innovation, where attractive investment opportunities are available. And the diversified economy, pointing out that the leadership in Abu Dhabi works to unleash the latent energies of every ambitious person who has a passion for creativity and excellence.
Tawfiq Dabboussi, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Tripoli and North Lebanon, praised the level of organization of the summit, describing it as a source of pride for the Arab and international business community. He said that the discussion panel focused on how to create a role for youth in the next stage and prepare them to keep pace with modern technological developments and artificial intelligence and the necessity of creating a platform to embrace youth.
Dr. Hoda Jalal Yassa, President of the Union of Arab Women Investors, confirmed that the discussion session highlighted the importance of Egyptian-Arab-African cooperation, noting that during the session the Union of Arab Women Investors extended an invitation to attend the 27th session of the largest Arab-African investment conference, which will be held from November 11 to 15 next. In Aswan Governorate, Egypt.
She added that the discussion session was rich in insights and enjoyed the interaction of its participants, expressing her pride in being one of the investors in the UAE, which she described as having innovative advantages to offer to investors. She said that as an investor in the country, she received unconventional support from the UAE government.
Khalil Haj Tawfiq, Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, said that during the discussions there was a call to create an Arab platform for innovation to exchange experiences, pointing to the success achieved by the UAE in the field of creativity and innovation, business incubators, and investment in the human element and artificial intelligence.
