"Emirates Accounting" Participates in an anti-corruption conference

Cairo, May 15 / WAM / A delegation from the Emirates Accounting Authority, headed by His Excellency Mohammed Rashid Al Zaabi, Undersecretary of the Ministry, participated in the fifth session of the Conference of States Parties to the Arab Convention against Corruption, which was held in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The session began its work by electing the members of the bureau of the fifth session of the conference, reviewing the report on the implementation of the decisions issued by the fourth session, which was previously held under the presidency of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and appreciating its constructive efforts in making the session a success and its effective contribution to implementing the provisions of the Arab Anti-Corruption Convention. The conference aims to strengthen joint Arab efforts by countries, individuals and civil society institutions to confront the challenges associated with addressing financial and administrative violations and achieving integrity in societies, in addition to activating smooth mechanisms for international cooperation in recovering funds and providing technical assistance. It is worth noting that the Arab agreement is the first of its kind that aims to enhance international cooperation in the field of combating corruption and recovering stolen funds, and seeks to encourage the participation of civil society in these efforts through raising awareness of the harms of corruption.
