Summons for "apology for terrorism" : "A political attack"denounces Mathilde Panot

This text sparked controversy since it paralleled the“armed offensive by Palestinian forces” and the“intensification of the Israeli occupation policy” in the Palestinian territories. The rebellious elected official explained that she learned during her hearing that the complaint which led to her custody had been filed on October 11.
“I dare to hope in my country that if someone truly advocated terrorism, it would not take seven months to summon him,” she lashed out. Mathilde Panot also regretted that the investigators “didn’t bother to target” THE “words or sentences” which he is accused of in the press release published by his parliamentary group on October 7. “It’s ridiculous and they didn’t even bother to target some of the things”she snapped.
The opportunity for her to link this summons to the European election campaign, accusing “the power” of “to make a political maneuver”. “Of course there is a maneuver, an instrumentalization of the police and justice with a view to an electoral result”she insisted. “I deplore it because it is very serious, the drift that they are taking in the Land of Enlightenment”she added, considering that Emmanuel “Macron reinvented the thought police”. “We must protect the political life of this country from judicialization which is very serious”she added.
