Kanye West releases an exclusive new album on his platform

American rapper Kanye West has announced that his new album Donda 2 will only be released on his streaming platform Stem Player and will not be released on Apple Music, Spotify and Youtube Music.

According to him, this decision is the music industry’s response to the negative impact on them from the streaming platforms that artists rely on.

The musician justified his decision. “Today, artists only get 12% of the money the industry makes. It’s time to free music from this oppressive system. It’s time to take over the world and build your own world”

Donda 2 will be released on February 22, 2022. West broke the news on Instagram, where he posted the release date on the back of a model of the Chicago home he grew up in.
