More than 135 people died in Brazil’s floods

The death toll from landslides and floods caused by torrential rains in Brazil’s Petropolis has reached 136, with 213 missing.

Rescuers managed to pull 24 survivors from under the rubble.

Among the 136 dead. 81 women and 50 men, 22 of whom are minors. A total of 89 bodies have been identified so far. The medical school of law also received parts from three other bodies – it is impossible to determine whether they were men or women.

The fire department believes that saving living victims from mud and debris is still possible. , after four days of searching.
