< p>The former Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Council, Ambassador Mounir Zahran, stressed the importance of Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s visit to Cairo at this critical time in which the Arab region is witnessing unrest as a result of the repercussions of the devastating Israeli war on the Palestinians and the occupying state’s violation of the sovereignty of Syria and Lebanon and its attack on Iran’s interests in Damascus. Which threatens the expansion of the conflict and threatens regional and even international peace and security.

The former Assistant Foreign Minister indicated that this visit comes only about two weeks before the “Manama Summit” is held. ; Which supports Arab solidarity and capabilities in confronting various challenges and achieving stability in the turbulent region, whose peoples aspire to peace and support for the oppressed people of Palestine for about 76 years.

He believed that the Emir of Kuwait will, during his presence in Cairo, be informed of the latest developments related to the efforts Egypt, whether with regard to the truce and ceasefire in Gaza or its keenness to continue the flow of humanitarian and relief aid to the Strip…praising Kuwait’s positions in support of the rights of the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination, and rejecting the criminal policies committed against the Palestinians by the Tel Aviv government, as well as encouraging Kuwait for efforts to find a just, comprehensive and lasting solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Ambassador Mounir Zahran praised the close ties between Egypt and Kuwait, which have never been affected throughout history and with the differences in leadership, but rather remained lofty and an example to be followed in the Arab region… noting that Sheikh Meshaal’s visit to Cairo will give a strong boost to bilateral relations in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.

For his part, former Assistant Foreign Minister Ambassador Ayman Musharrafa confirmed that the visit of the Emir of Kuwait to Egypt comes as a continuation of consultation between the two countries in light of the identical visions. In the face of most of the challenges and issues facing the region, most notably the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and freedom of navigation in the straits and the Red Sea.

He noted that Kuwait appreciates the leading Egyptian role in protecting the security of the Gulf against regional and international ambitions, as well as its efforts to establish peace. He stated that the Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations are rooted in the depths of history, as Egypt was the first country to recognize the independence of Kuwait. Egypt also contributed with its teachers in its educational renaissance and its engineers in the construction process, and Egyptian universities embraced the children of Kuwait who have Egypt has all the love and belonging.

He continued, in this regard, that in return, the people of Kuwait stood with Egypt during its crises, starting with the tripartite aggression of 1956 and the setback of 1967, all the way to the glorious October War, out of their belief that Egypt’s national security and stability are closely linked. Hassan added that the visit of the Emir of Kuwait to Cairo carries several important and urgent files, most notably the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which witnesses the commission of all kinds of crimes, in addition to the future of the Palestinian issue and efforts Egypt in the truce, the ceasefire, the post-war plan, and the political horizon for the two-state solution.
