IMX/CE22 Maritime Training Conclusion

The International Maritime Training Activities IMX/CE22, which was carried out by elements of the Egyptian, Emirati and Bahrain Naval Forces, and the Western Joint Forces Command in the Southern Fleet in the Red Sea, have concluded.

The training activities included a number of intensive training activities in the field of maritime security, protection of maritime lines of communication, countering smuggling and combating maritime mines.

A number of consultation sessions were also held with the Joint Command Center for Training in the Kingdom of Bahrain via video conference, with the aim of exchanging training experiences and unifying operational concepts.

The elements involved in the training carried out the work of dealing with the unmanned vehicle operating under the sea, in order to train on the latest international methods in the field of combating naval mines.

The naval special forces of the countries participating in the training also carried out anti-improvised explosive devices and booby traps work and removed mines, and the work of securing water bodies in ports and securing the exit of ships from the shipping lanes was carried out.

The (IMX/CE22) training comes within the framework of developing the capabilities of the navies of the participating countries in the field of planning, command, control and communication, and the implementation of joint operations to confront atypical threats and secure the theater of operations in the Red Sea.
