The Minister of Agriculture discusses with the Qatari Minister of Municipality cooperation in the agricultural field
Mr. Al-Quseir, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, discussed with Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah, Minister of Municipality and head of the Qatari delegation, the meetings of the General Assembly of the Arab Center for Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands “ACSAD” In the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries, especially in light of the close relations linking the political leadership in the two countries.
This came during a meeting between the two ministers held on the sidelines of the General Assembly meetings. The Arab Center for Studies of Dry Zones and Dry Lands “ACSAD”, headed by Al-Qusayr, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, as well as the meetings of the General Assembly of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development. The Minister of Agriculture explained that areas of cooperation could include applied research, especially since Egypt has the largest and oldest two centers for agricultural research and desert research in the region, noting that Egypt’s capabilities and experts in agricultural scientific research serve our brothers in Qatar.
 
Al-Quseir said that the areas of cooperation could also include trade exchange and agricultural exports, pointing to the quality of Egyptian agricultural products, which have now invaded most of the world’s markets. Cooperation in the field of veterinary services could also be facilitated and all procedures for strengthening and developing cooperation could be facilitated. Egyptian-Qatari joint cooperation in the field of agriculture and related activities in the interest of both countries.
For his part, Al-Attiyah expressed his aspiration to increase agricultural cooperation and exchange in the field of agricultural exports to the level of distinguished medical relations between The Qatari and Egyptian leaderships. Pointing out that agriculture has received great attention in his country, especially in the field of food security and agricultural, animal and fishery production.
He emphasized the important areas of cooperation proposed by the Minister of Agriculture, in addition to the import of original Egyptian Arabian horses. Which is of interest to the Qatari people.
The two ministers agreed to translate what was agreed upon and implement it on the ground and to form technical committees for communication, with the Ministry of Agriculture’s foreign agricultural relations being the point of communication.
