Gold earns $6 in spot transactions

Capitals, May 16 / WAM / Gold prices rose during today’s trading, gaining about $6 in spot transactions.

By 09:15 am UAE time, the yellow metal rose by 0.24 percent, or $6.02, to reach $2,392.01 per ounce.

Gold contracts, for delivery in June 2024, increased by 0.05 percent, or the equivalent of $1.25, to reach $2,396.2 per ounce.

In terms of other precious metals, silver rose by 0.37 percent to $29.83 per ounce, platinum increased by 0.32 percent to $1,080.5, and palladium rose 0.1 percent to $1,016.03.
