Schubert: Al-Ahly suffered a severe blow with Maaloul’s exit… and Karim Fouad deserves to be saluted

The journalist Ahmed Schubert confirmed that Al-Ahly club suffered a severe blow due to the injury of Ali Maaloul during the first minutes of the first leg of the final round of the African Champions League against Esperance of Tunisia.

 

< p>The former Red Castle star said during his On Time Stadium program, broadcast on the On Time Sports channel, that Ali Maaloul leaving the field injured in the 5th minute, and Karim Fouad coming in his place, was a painful blow to the Red Genie. Regarding Maaloul’s injury, he explained: “I think he suffered a strain in his back muscle.”

 

Schubert praised Karim Fouad’s performance after he came on as a substitute for Ali Maaloul in the left-back position, stressing that Esperance did not have any significant threat from the right side.

 

He added: "Karim Fouad deserves a salute, so despite his long absence from playing in the left-back position, He showed a good performance and was able to deal with Esperance and prevent it from posing any danger.”

 

 

Ali Maaloul had fallen on the field in the 4th minute of the match. Omar in the first half, leaving the match injured to receive treatment, which led to Swiss Marcel Kohler, the coach of the first football team at Al-Ahly club, making his first substitution in the match, with Karbam Fouad replacing Ali Maaloul.
