Qatar: We look forward to agreeing on programs and investments that enhance Arab cooperation with the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan

Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani expressed his country’s aspiration to agree on investment programs and projects that enhance Arab cooperation with the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, to ensure the sustainability of supply chains and link means of transportation, transit, food, energy, and water security.

The Qatari Prime Minister said – in his opening speech, today, Tuesday, before the work of the third session of the Arab Economic and Cooperation Forum with the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan – &quot “The forum sends a message that the historical, cultural and civilizational relations and ties that bring together the Arab world with the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan represent a solid ground for developing cooperation between them at various levels.” He expressed his appreciation to the League of Arab States, which provided this important platform for consultation and coordination on ways to enhance cooperation and establish partnerships. Fruitful.

 

 

He pointed out that today’s meeting at the level of foreign and economic ministers reflects the commitment at the highest levels to complete the joint plans and programs that have been agreed upon. During the previous two sessions and translating them into reality.

 

 

He added: The forum is being held at a stage in which the Arab region and the countries of the region are facing many challenges and crises. Cross borders, which places them all before a historical responsibility that requires them to deepen consultation and cooperation mechanisms in order to find peaceful solutions based on the provisions of the United Nations Charter and the principles of international law.

 

 

The Qatari Prime Minister stressed the importance of achieving sustainable development goals, eliminating poverty and hunger, and enhancing cooperation in the fields of higher education, research and training, innovation, artificial intelligence, digitization, and biotechnology.

 

 

On the sidelines of the forum, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, where they reviewed the cooperation relations between the two countries, and discussed the latest developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, In addition to a number of topics of common interest.
