The Minister of Defense meets his counterpart in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Lieutenant General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo, Minister of National Defense and Veterans of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and his accompanying delegation, which is currently visiting Egypt. An official reception ceremony was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense, and military music played the national anthem for both. Both countries.

The meeting discussed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas and their implications for security and stability within the African continent in light of the current circumstances and challenges, as well as the understanding on increasing aspects of military cooperation between the two countries in many fields.

 

The two ministers also chaired the closing session of the Egyptian-Congolese Military Cooperation Committee meeting, which dealt with a number of topics related to supporting the prospects for joint cooperation and exchanging experiences in many military fields for both sides.

 

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces stressed his pride in the relations between the Armed Forces and their counterparts in African countries, praising the efforts achieved by the Committee to achieve common visions in all military fields.

 

For his part, the Minister of National Defense and Veterans of the Democratic Republic of the Congo expressed his appreciation for the depth of ties and relations that bring together the two friendly countries. He also praised the Egyptian efforts in support of all issues of the African continent.

 

The meeting and closing session were attended by Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and a number of commanders of the armed forces of both countries.
