A 5.8 magnitude earthquake strikes the Indonesian province of Maluku

Jakarta, May 6 / WAM / An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale struck Maluku province in eastern Indonesia today.
The Indonesia Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said in a statement that the epicenter of the earthquake was 50 kilometers from the Seram area in the province, and it occurred at a depth of 14 kilometers.
There have been no reports so far of material or human losses resulting from the earthquake.
