Al Qasimia University crowns the winners of a competition "Artistic radiance "
Sharjah, 3 May / WAM / His Excellency Jamal Al Tarifi, President of Al Qasimia University, honored the winners of the “Artistic Radiances” competition, which was held on the 1st of May, and which the university organizes annually at the level of universities in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. With the participation of 150 male and female students from 20 Gulf universities, the contestants presented about 500 artistic works in the fields of drawing, Arabic calligraphy, and photography.
The university president reviewed the art exhibition accompanying the competition, and praised the quality of the artistic works presented, their distinct creative originality, and the accompanying artistic workshops that included architecture in Sharjah, oil painting, and the art of calligraphy, which reflected the beauty of plastic art, in addition to an exhibition by Al Qasimia University graduate Yishu Zhang from China. . Al-Tarifi, accompanied by Dr. Awad Al-Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University, honored the winning students, members of the jury, and participating universities.
In turn, Awad Al-Khalaf praised the distinguished entries in the “Artistic Sunshine” competition, which reflects the originality of creativity in the fields of plastic arts in many universities in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and achieves the main goal of the competition in promoting artistic culture and encouraging students to be creative and distinguished, pointing to the quality and diversity of entries from various sectors. Artworks submitted by talented and creative students in the fields of drawing, Arabic calligraphy, and photography.
He congratulated the winning students at the university level, and thanked the members of the judging committee and the participating universities for their contribution to the success of the competition and its development year after year, so that the “Artistic Radiances” competition was launched from Al Qasimia University, opening horizons of creativity for young talents at the level of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and expanding in the coming years in the Arab world. And internationally.
