China discovers a virus planted by US intelligence

According to data from China’s National Computer Virus Response Center, a Trojan horse used by the US National Security Agency to access confidential information on personal computers has been identified in China.

It should be noted that Trojan NOPEN detected is a tool for remote control of Unix/Linux operating systems. With its help, it is possible to steal data, gain access to systems, redirect network connections, and display information about an infected device.

The Global Times notes that the Trojan is a typical tool for cyber espionage, but NOPEN features sophisticated technology, which makes it difficult to detect.

Earlier, the Xinhua News Agency, citing China’s National Internet Emergency Monitoring Center, reported that foreign hackers attack Chinese cyberspace mainly from the United States.
