‘Fantastic Four’ adds Paul Walter Hauser

Paul Walter Hauser couldn’t be more in demand right now. He already leads the cast of a Chris Farley biopic that has Josh Gad directing and recently landed a deal with New Line.
But this is just one of the projects that the busy actor is now linked to. He now has two more big movies on his plate: a mysterious role in Marvel’s ‘Fantastic Four’ and a named role in the new ‘The Naked Gun’ reboot.

According to deadlineHauser’s role has yet to be announced, which, let’s be honest, isn’t surprising given Marvel’s usual levels of secrecy.
He will join a cast that includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben. Grimm (aka the Thing).
More recently, Julia Garner signed on to play Shalla-Bal, a version of the Silver Surfer.
Matt Shakman will direct the new film, working from a script that featured contributions from Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.
When will ‘Fantastic Four’ hit theaters?
Marvel currently has the film dated for release on July 25, 2025.

Hauser is, according to Deadline, playing Captain Ed Hocken in the new movie ‘Naked Gun’. He is the no-nonsense (but occasionally bewildered) boss of Detective Frank Drebin, played by Leslie Nielsen.
For the new film, Hauser joins a cast that already includes Liam Neeson, Kevin Durand and Pamela Anderson.
What is the story of ‘The Naked Gun’?

All three ‘Naked Gun’ films featured the bumbling, no-nonsense cop Drebin. Released in 1988, 1991 and 1994, they are taken from the comedy series by David Zucker, his brother Jerry, Jim Abrams and Pat Proft ‘Police Squad!’ which featured Drebin as an LAPD detective. He’s a great cop, but usually by accident, and the movies, like the shows, are full of jokes.
Also starring Priscilla Presley and Ricardo Montalbán, ‘The Naked Gun’ followed a plot to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II during a visit to Los Angeles. There’s mind control, a baseball game, and OJ Simpson as an official sidekick.
There are no concrete details on what the story of the new film will be, but the original script came from Mark Hentemann and Alec Sulkin. And for now, we don’t have an official title, just ‘Untitled Naked Gun Movie’, which is far from inspiring.

Who will make the new movie ‘Naked Gun’?
Akiva Schaffer, who last directed the hit Disney+ movie ‘Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers,’ teamed up again with writers Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, who wrote that film, to create his own draft.
Seth MacFarlane is producing the new film, having convinced his old friend and colleague Neeson to star in it.
When will the new movie ‘Naked Gun’ be in theaters?
Paramount has scheduled the new film for July 18, 2025.
