Changing the rules in Grand Slam tournaments

The rules of tie in the Grand Slam tournaments have changed. Now, when the score is 6:6 in the deciding set of the match, a draw will be applied up to 10 points.

Up to this point, the different Grand Slam tournaments have played different rules. For example, at Wimbledon, a tiebreak was used up to 7 points in the decisive set with a score of 12:12, at the US Open – with a score of 6: 6.

At the Australian Open, a tie-breaker was played to 10 with a score of 6:6, and at Roland Garros a set without a tie-breaker was used by two games after a score of 6:6.

The innovations will be valid starting with Roland Garros, which will take place from May 22 to June 5, 2022.
