Inflation in Ireland fell to its lowest level in 33 months

Dublin, May 9 / WAM / The rate of consumer price inflation in Ireland fell last month to its lowest levels in more than two and a half years.

The Irish Central Statistics Office stated that the consumer price index rose last month by 2.6%, compared to 2.9% during the previous month, which is the lowest rate of increase in inflation since July 2021 when the index rose by 2.2%.
