Google Unveils Game-Changing Video Enhancement Feature for Android Users

Cairo: Mai Kamal El-Din

A researcher from Google’s app exploration community, known on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) as AssembleDebug, has successfully activated an unreleased feature within the Google Photos app. This feature aims to enhance video quality, as reported by Android Authority.

According to the source, the new feature called “Enhance your video with one tap” will enable users to automatically edit videos in their smartphone galleries without the need to upload files to Google servers, as implemented in flagship Pixel 8 phones. After processing, users can save the edited video as a new file or replace an existing one.

Android Authority experts examined this feature and noted significant improvements in video quality. Contrast and color saturation were enhanced, resulting in sharper videos. Journalists showcased both the edited and original videos on their website.

The availability of this feature for all Google Photos users and whether it will be exclusive to Pixel smartphones remain unknown at this time.
