Starting "Emirates Conference" And"Global Summit" Critical care in Dubai

DUBAI, 10th May / WAM / The activities of the twentieth Emirates Critical Care Conference and the first global summit of the International Federation of Intensive Care and Critical Care were launched in Dubai today, with the participation of more than 2,000 medical and nursing personnel from 42 countries and more than 45 scientific medical societies to discuss the latest technologies used in critical care, including… This includes artificial respiration and the latest medications.

The three-day conference will discuss topics related to septicemia, infection, fluids in the ICU, kidney disease, acute kidney injury, artificial ventilation, acute respiratory distress syndrome, surgery/trauma, anesthesia, pain management, cardiac, nutrition, geriatrics, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and infection monitoring.

Dr. Hussein Nasser Al Rahma, Emergency Medicine Consultant, President of the Conference, President of the International Arab Society of Critical Care Medicine, Vice President of the Global Emergency Medicine Network, Founder and President of the Emirates Critical Care Society, pointed out that the conference this year marks the 20th anniversary of its first launch in 2004, when it has become one It is one of the largest intensive care conferences as it brings together 45 associations from 45 countries with the aim of exchanging experiences, discussing the latest advanced technologies, and keeping up with innovations and research applied globally.

The conference activities include the participation of 301 speakers, including 142 international speakers, 69 regional speakers, in addition to 90 speakers from within the country, indicating that the number of lectures that will be reviewed throughout the three days of the conference reaches 310 lectures in 81 scientific sessions, in addition to 8 scientific workshops and 5 Training courses, 87 scientific research for doctors and resident doctors, and 6 seminars for the industrial sector, noting that on the sidelines of the conference, a number of qualitative agreements will be signed with a number of international bodies that will benefit all parties.

For his part, Dr. George Hilaljo, President of the International Society for Intensive Care, pointed out in his speech the great success achieved by the conference, which has become a milestone in the Gulf region and the Middle East for discussing the latest innovations and scientific research related to intensive care.

For her part, Dr. Amelia Laco, Chief Nursing Officer at the World Health Organization, spoke about the role of nurses in critical care, noting that their role is considered vital in care departments and reaches more than 70%.

After that, the exhibition accompanying the conference was opened, in which 40 of the most important pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers participated.
