163 Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque and arrest 18 Palestinians in the West Bank

 Today, Thursday, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police. 

The Palestinian Jerusalem Governorate announced – in a press release – that 163 settlers stormed the mosque from Mughariba Gate, and carried out provocative tours and performed Talmudic rituals in the vicinity of the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall. The Zionist occupation police tightened their military measures in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and prevented young Palestinians from entering it. 

With regard to daily arrests in the West Bank, Since yesterday until today, the Israeli occupation forces have arrested at least 18 Palestinians, including a woman from Ramallah who was detained as a hostage, in addition to former prisoners.

The Commission for the Affairs of Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners and the Prisoners’ Club said in a joint statement that the operations The arrests were distributed across the governorates of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus, Hebron, Tulkarm, Jerusalem, and Jericho, and were accompanied by widespread raids and abuse, in addition to widespread acts of sabotage and destruction of homes.

She pointed out that the outcome of the arrests occurred after the 7th of October 2023, it rose to about 8,550, and includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.

The occupation forces continue to implement systematic arrest campaigns, as one of the most prominent established policies, which It escalated in an unprecedented manner after the seventh of October, not only in terms of the level of the number of detainees, but also in terms of the level of crimes committed.
