"Sharjah Reading" Attracts children into a world "Fashion design and agricultural arts"
The 15th session of the “Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival” opened the door for its visitors from the children of the world to discover the aesthetics of the art of garden decoration and design, and the art of fashion design through a group of workshops continuing over 12 days during the duration of the festival.
The first workshop was titled “Fairy Gardens” Natural elements of rocks, grass, and sand were provided to teach garden design skills using innovative methods and simple techniques, and the children participating in the workshop began implementing garden models. Introduction to the workshop: It aimed to teach children about agriculture and the art of decorating by placing what they imagine inside it and choosing the appropriate colors for it. Pointing out that this type of workshop allows children to unleash their imagination into multiple mental images.
In the second workshop, young children from the “Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival 2024” set out to On a journey into the world of sewing, they learned about the basics of sewing and decorating, how to design an elegant and modern Bookmark in their own style, and how to use needle and thread in a safe way, while using their imagination and innovative ideas to decorate their designs with colorful and bright stickers.

The children learned during the workshop – which was held entitled “Introduction to Sewing” – How to use colored woolen threads to sew book tab fabrics, and how to safely knot the threads and cut them with scissors.
It is noteworthy that the 15th session of the “Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival” It organizes more than 1,500 cultural, artistic and entertainment events, including workshops, sessions and various performances, presented by more than 265 guests from more than 25 countries, with the aim of developing children’s talents, honing their skills and enhancing their artistic and creative abilities.
