Brazil will host the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup

Brasilia, May 17 / WAM / Brazil won the rights to host the Women’s World Cup in 2027 after obtaining the most votes during the vote of the FIFA General Assembly today.

During the electronic vote, the Brazilian bid received the support of 119 FIFA member associations, while the joint European bid received 78 votes.

“You can be confident, without any arrogance, that we will organize the best World Cup for women’s football,” said Ednaldo Rodriguez, president of the Brazilian Football Confederation.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said that the Brazil tournament “will be the best Women’s World Cup ever.”
