Russian authorities announced a new air attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Belgorod

The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced on Friday that one person had died as a result of a drone attack on the village of Novaya Naumovka near Belgorod.

Another person was injured. “Two civilians came to the village to dig a vegetable garden, where a state of emergency has currently been introduced and people should not be present,” Gladkov wrote in his Telegram channel.

Later governor of the region wrote that on approach to Belgorod several targets were shot down by air defense systems, two people were injured.

In Belgorod, as Gladkov noted, a fragment of a shell pierced the roof, the ceiling of a technical floor and the ceiling of an apartment in an apartment building. In the Belgorod region, after air defense forces repelled an air attack from the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the village of Dubovoe and in the village of Tavrovo, two private residential households were severely damaged as a result of direct hits from shells, Gladkov added.

Russian Ministry of Defense assertsthat 14 missiles from the RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system were shot down over the Belgorod region.

Ukrainian authorities did not comment on the information.
