OpenAI introduced a new version of the GPT-4o language model

The American company OpenAI presented a new version of the language model with generative artificial intelligence GPT-4o. The letter “o” is an abbreviation for the word “omni”.

GPT-4o works with audio, video and text. As they say in message OpenAI, on average, the new version of the model responds to speech in 320 milliseconds. This is comparable to a reaction in a conversation.

The model is supported in more than 50 languages, including Russian, Kazakh, Georgian, Chinese, Arabic, Turkish and Serbian. In addition, GPT-4o can remember dialogues.

GPT-4o is already available to users. A small group of partners will have access to voice functions in the near future. Paid subscribers will have access in June.
