The Sharjah Chamber concludes its participation in the International Trade Fair for Handicrafts in Florence

Sharjah, May 5 / WAM / The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, represented by the Emirati Jewelers Platform, concluded its participation in the International Trade Fair for Handicrafts, which was held at the exhibition grounds in the Italian city of Florence, as part of its efforts to support youth projects and provide opportunities for workers in the gold and jewelry sector to display their products and reach… It brings it to the most important international markets specialized in the production of accessories, jewelry and handicrafts.

The chamber delegation included a number of Emirati female designers who showcased their latest innovative collections of gold and diamond jewelry, which were well received by the public, experts, and interested parties and highlighted the distinguished level reached by the jewelry design industry in the Emirates and the presence it has achieved in international exhibitions.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Mona Sultan Al Suwaidi, Director of the Executive Office of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber and responsible for the Emirati Jewelers Platform, met with officials at the exhibition and a number of specialists in goldsmithing and its arts, and discussed with them ways of cooperation in the field of developing the field of goldsmithing and jewellery.

The delegation’s activities included field visits to a number of Italian museums and institutes of design and arts, including a visit to the School of Chemistry to prepare and train experts in jewelery and gemstone crafting, which is an international school from which top artists who work in the most important international design houses graduated.

The Emirati delegation got to know the school’s employees and held side acquaintance meetings with them to discuss cooperation opportunities to market Emirati designs and products and benefit from the school’s expertise in developing their businesses to reach global markets.

During the exhibition, Emirati female designers participated in various workshops presented by a group of leading international designers, including a workshop on precious weaving techniques and a workshop on wire weaving, to gain new experiences in the field of drafting, designing and manufacturing gold and jewellery.

The agenda for participation in the exhibition included a guided visit to the Silver Museum and a visit to a number of workshops specialized in goldsmithing and a group of famous stores and factories for perfumes, gold and jewelry in Florence.
