German Embassy in Moscow: The German Ambassador returns to Russia "In the near future"

   The German Embassy in Moscow announced today, Wednesday, that the German Ambassador to Moscow, Alexander Lambsdorff, who was summoned to Berlin for consultations, will return to Russia in the near future.

 

The embassy added in Statements by the Russian “TASS” agency stated that Lambsdorff had decided to return to Russia in the near future after being summoned from Moscow to Berlin for consultations.

 

On May 6, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced The German Foreign Ministry recalled Lambsdorff from Moscow, indicating that the ambassador would remain in Berlin “for a week.”

 

The German Foreign Ministry stated earlier that its ambassador to Russia, Alexander, had been summoned. Lambsdorf for consultations following an alleged cyberattack launched by Russia against the German Social Democratic Party and a number of German companies.
