NASA takes a picture of a man-made entrance between the rocks on Mars –

An image taken on May 7 by the Mastcam-Z camera aboard NASA’s Curiosity rover reveals an interesting feature in the Martian rocks.

In a geological feature known as the Fronton Greenhue Slope: what looks like a perfectly carved entrance that looks unusual among the landscapes on Mars.

Science Alert described the discovery as “scary.” The depiction of this geological feature may be the inspiration for science fiction films about portals to other universes or tunnels to the center of the planet.

However, commenters on the Reddit forum have pointed out that this may just be a turning crack in the rock, a broken piece of rock that cannot withstand internal pressure, perhaps from one or two bogs. A major earthquake occurred on May 4, 2022, and scientists are still working to determine exactly where it occurred and what effects it caused.

Moreover, while the door-like rock formation may appear to be the size of a man or more, it is actually possible to be only a few centimeters high in real life – it’s hard to judge reliably from this photo.
