Japanese stock indices rose at the beginning of trading

Tokyo, May 21 / WAM / Japanese stock indices rose at the beginning of trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange today, Tuesday.
The Nikkei index rose 0.42 percent to reach 39,232.16 points.
The broader Topix index also rose 0.19 percent to reach 2,773.23 points.
