Sharjah Radio and Television Authority keeps pace with the Children’s Reading Festival

Sharjah, April 28 / WAM / The Sharjah Radio and Television Authority revealed its plan to accompany the activities of the 15th edition of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival, organized by the Sharjah Book Authority, at the Expo Center Sharjah, during the period from 1 to 12 next May, under the slogan “Be the hero of your story.” .

Sharjah TV seeks to put the viewer at the heart of the event from its first moment, by broadcasting the opening ceremony on May 1st, and hosting writers specializing in children’s literature, highlighting the latest publications dedicated to children and adolescents, and carrying out continuous coverage and preparing various reports on all events and activities. Competitions, plays, artistic and performance performances accompany this major cultural event, which the Emirate of Sharjah attaches great importance to, and hosting a prominent group of guests and writers who have a close connection to children’s literature.

The focus will be on the festival’s activities by preparing news reports and interviewing a group of intellectuals and writers with the aim of shedding light on this event and keeping up with all its activities that aim to increase children’s and young people’s connection with books and reading.

During the festival activities, Sharjah Radio will hold a number of interactive workshops with children in its special pavilion at the Expo Center Sharjah, presented by two children’s literature writers, Haya Al Qasim and Badriya Al Marzouqi, who will present rich, hour-long discussion sessions about one of his stories.

Holding these workshops and sessions comes from the radio’s deep awareness of the importance of these sessions in nourishing children’s thinking and promoting the culture of reading and the love of reading in them.

His Excellency Muhammad Hassan Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Radio and Television Authority, confirmed the readiness of the Authority’s channels, radio stations and digital media to provide comprehensive coverage of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival in its 15th edition, out of its belief in the importance of this cultural event and its significant contribution to the efforts of the Emirate of Sharjah in raising generations armed and fortified with science and knowledge and closely linked. By book and reading.

He added, “We will cover extensively all the festival’s activities and interview a group of writers and organizers, and we have prepared a modern wing for the authority in the heart of the festival at Expo Sharjah, which contains a television studio and a radio studio, in addition to a children’s ring studio for broadcasting the Holy Quran.”

He pointed out that all of the Authority’s teams will accompany the festival’s activities, which we consider an inspiring occasion that contributes to building generations and enhancing their intellectual and creative capabilities.
