The Czech Republic grants asylum to more than 350,000 refugees from Ukraine

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic stated on its Twitter page, that the country has granted 350,302 citizens of Ukraine special visas that allow them to obtain asylum in the country for a period of one year since February 24.

According to the Czech Ministry of Internal Affairs, 252,078 refugees from Ukraine have been registered with the police for foreigners. As of May 20, 1,012 visas have been issued. It can also be obtained by citizens of other countries who live in Ukraine and who need asylum.

It is noted that most of the Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic are children, and three quarters of adult refugees are women.

The day before, the number of Ukrainian refugees reportedly approached 14 million. UNICEF provided such data.
