Ashley Graham admits she almost died while giving birth at home
Plus-size American model Ashley Graham admitted in an interview with Glamor that she almost died giving birth at home.
The star felt unwell after the birth of the twins, then began to bleed profusely, but managed to scream at the midwife before losing consciousness.
The 34-year-old model took part. “I lost consciousness. All I remember is a light touch on my cheek, which I later find out were slaps. Someone grabbed my hand, my husband Justin prayed, and someone stuck a needle into my hand. I remember seeing darkness and what looked like stars.”
A team of seasoned professionals close to Ashley Graham managed to save her.
She said that she gave birth to her sons in three and a half hours and did not expect such a further development of events, when the model came to her senses, she saw pools of blood everywhere. The star did not get out of bed alone for about two weeks and spent about two months at home.
Ashley Graham announced her pregnancy to fans in July 2021, with a photo of a round belly appearing on her personal blog.
Ashley and her husband, videographer Justin Ervin, were surprised when they learned from the doctor at an ultrasound that they were expecting two sons, and the couple did not believe his words at first – the model shared a family video on social networks. On January 7, 2022, the couple had two children.
Graham later said that she named the two boys Malachi and Roman.
The couple also have their eldest son Isaac, who recently turned two years old.
