Biden allocates $40 billion additional aid to Ukraine

On Saturday, May 21, US President Joe Biden signed a bill on the allocation of additional financial aid to Ukraine. This was reported by the White House Press Service.

“The law … provides for additional emergency allocations to federal agencies to respond to and provide assistance to the situation in Ukraine for the 2022 fiscal year,” the statement said.

The bill was approved by the US House of Representatives on May 11. supplying Kyiv with $40 billion.

The bill provides for allocating funds to the military ($6 billion), the economy ($8.7 billion), including financing the work of the Ukrainian public services, and humanitarian aid ($5 billion). Another $900 million will be directed to support Ukrainian refugees.
