The Athletics Federation crowns the winners of the UAE Championship with the participation of 400 male and female players
Abu Dhabi, May 20 / WAM / The Athletics Federation crowned the winners of the UAE Championship at the conclusion of the current season, after a strong competition with the participation of 400 male and female players representing various clubs across the country.
The competitions were held yesterday at the Military Sports Division Stadium in Abu Dhabi, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, over a period of 3 days.
The tournament included middle and long distance races, jumping, and javelin throwing for the under-16, 18, and 20 categories, and the general race for males and females.
Sharjah Sports Club won the men’s championship, Sharjah Women’s Sports Club won the women’s title, and Abu Dhabi Club won the men’s and women’s titles.
The winners were crowned by Fahd Abdullah bin Juma, Vice President of the Federation, in the presence of Nasser Ashour, Secretary-General, Ali Hassan Ghazwan, Board Member and Chairman of the National Teams and Referees Committee, Rashid Nasser Al Ali, Board Member and Chairman of the Public Relations and Corporate Communications Committee, and Suhail Al Kaabi, Board Member and Financial Director. .
Fahd Abdullah bin Juma praised the technical and organizational success achieved by the last competition in the current season, the advanced levels of male and female players, and the strong competition in all categories, which confirms the remarkable development achieved by the game.
He stressed the keenness of the Federation, headed by Major General Dr. Muhammad Al-Murr, to continue programs that support development, and plans aimed at discovering and nurturing talent, and providing the best opportunities in qualification and training to keep pace with the development witnessed by the game globally, praising the great cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the administration of the Military Sports Division in organizing the event and supporting its success. .
