Russian forces shoot CBS News journalists
Journalists from the American channel CBS News came under fire from Russian forces near Kherson. This was reported by the channel’s website.
The report notes that reporters were filming a story about the battles of the Ukrainian army, which has been defending “for several weeks” a “small village – just a few farms and fields”.
At the same time, journalists, along with Ukrainian soldiers, hid in the basement of a multi-storey apartment building, which they used as a “shelter for several weeks”.
Correspondents say the shelling began during filming, and “shells fell only 50 yards” from them. One of the soldiers interviewed by journalists said that she would fight “until all Russians are expelled from this country”.
